Supergirl

My first every cosplay shoot!
This is my third-ever cosplay, however. I just started cosplaying 2 months ago. I made Rainbow Dash, Winry Rockbell, and Supergirl. I shot SG and WR together with so I should have more photos of them soon, and RD has her own shoot planned separately for the Cosplay Calendar.

How I made it:
The nylon suit was bought from a Cheerleading company, because I knew that I couldn't make it myself haha.
The boots were originally black and I found them in my closet, they were no good for normal wear anymore so they were a perfect candidate for cosplay! The knee part of the booth is made out of foam and heat molded, and stitched to the boot. The whole lot was sprayed with red paint and detailed in a gold calligraphy marker and gold paint.
The red fabric is stretchy and drapey with gold glitter flicks in it, and the gold fabric isn't stretchy but very pretty and not too shiny.
My Dad helped me sew the cape and my Mom helped me with the armor part of the suit Thanks parents!!
The emblem on the chest was hard, it took me 3 tries! D: Its a foam base (like the boots) but I sewed layers of red and gold on it. Its only stitched onto the suit in 5 places with elastic so it is very flexible.
The wig is from my Winry costume I didn't go with short hair because I can't pull it off haha.

I'm very pleased with the result!!
